JNC Group Fencing + Security fully replaced the perimeter fence with 2,550m of 3.0m high 358 anti-climb mech, manual and automatic gates and 2,700m of 1.8m chain wire fence with barb wire. Fencing work was carried out on a high security operational base. The 358 fence was enhanced with 2 security cables to stop the possibility of vehicles ramming the fence to gain access to the site.
Securing creek and waterway access
The site contained a number of creeks and waterways that had to be secured and allow flows from heavy rains to leave the site while still maintaining site security. JNC Group Fencing and Security designed and installed site specific creek crossings that ensured the integrity of the fence during heavy rains.
Manual and Automatic Gates
JNC Group installed automatic sliding gates and manual vehicle gates around the perimeter. A 4.8m wide 358 sliding gate was programmed to open quickly and work in conjunction with vehicle blockers stop access to high security areas. The manual vehicle gates were equipped with Reed switches to notify Security of unauthorised access. A 6m wide sliding automatic chain link gate was installed with Solar Power to enable sit access from an adjacent Defence facility
Meeting project timeframe
JNC Group was one of seven sub-contractors working on the site. The fence was completed on time and to budget allowing other subcontractors to compete their work in a secure environment.
