JNC Group Fencing + Security replaced the existing Shoal Bay Receiving Station fence with a new Class 2 fence and PIDS. The purpose of the project was to increase the level of security provided by the perimeter fence and gates around a high security Defence base. Remedial fencing work was carried out at Robertson Barracks Marksmanship Range with a new fence constructed and perimeter signage replaced.
Maintaining Indigenous heritage
A section of the new fence at Robertson Barracks crossed a Restricted Works Area. An AAPA Certificate to work in this area was obtained and an Environmental Clearance Certificate was approved for the agreed work method.
Working at a remote site
The sites are located to the North East of Darwin in the Northern Territory. Consideration was given to working in remote sites and management of dangerous fauna.
